The morning sun filtered through the curtains of Sakura's room, casting a warm glow over her desk. She reached for her familiar deck, expecting the usual weight and warmth of the Clow Cards. Instead, she felt a strange lightness. Pulling the top card from the box, she gasped as her eyes met a surface that was completely blank—pure, unblemished white. No wind, no fire, no shadow. Just an empty canvas waiting for her to paint it with something new.

The arc begins when Sakura discovers her deck has turned into blank cards after a peaceful night's sleep. Keroberos, now in his true form, explains that these are not Clow Cards but 'Clear Cards' born from Sakura herself. As the story unfolds, the first of these blank cards begins to manifest on its own, taking on a personality and causing minor disturbances in Tomoeda. Sakura realizes she must capture and seal these emerging cards just as she did before, but the process is different; she cannot simply command them. With the help of Syaoran Li, who has returned from Hong Kong, and her friends Tomoyo and Yukito, Sakura begins to investigate the nature of this new magic. The initiation phase establishes that the Clear Cards are deeply connected to Sakura's emotions and will only respond to her genuine feelings.
